My own healing journey began over 18 years ago. "Doing the work" myself and seeing firsthand the life-changing results led me to want to share that knowledge of healing with others because of the freedom I have gained in growing through my own challenges.
My profound interest in the mind-body connection, neuroscience, the necessity of quality human connections, and my desire to help people find healing & growth is what led me to this valuable profession. My undergraduate is in Social Work and my graduate degree is in Clinical Social Work. I am a licensed clinician with the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) in training, and am EMDR trained.
My therapy is a comprehensive group of specialized, research-based methods tailored to meet the individual needs of teens, adults, and family systems. I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy, change and healing that is informed by neuroscience, including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment-based, IFS/parts of self, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy. I incorporate psycho-education into our time together to help create an understanding of some of your challenges. As a therapist, I offer ways to deepen the mind/body connection, improve your relationship with yourself & others, manage stress, and become more able to express who you already are.
I am a client-centered, humanistic clinician who truly believes that all healing comes from within. Therapy is approached as a partnership where we work side-by-side and are led by your goals and needs, where I will offer my expertise and experience. I am best suited to work with people over the age of 16 and believe, whatever your age, there is always time and space for growth & healing. Now is always a good time.
My particular areas of focus are enhancing relationship skills, relief from anxiety, relief from depression, moving through grief, processing trauma and life coaching. I am inclusive, open and affirming of the LGBTQIA+ community and love helping people enhance support for their LGBTQIA+ loved ones.
My goal is to help you heal from trauma, gain control of your life, and feel empowered to make decisions that support you and those important to you. I trust you will find the therapist that is right for you. I will be honored if that is with me.

One-on-one counseling is provided in a trauma-informed space with unconditional positive regard for teens, and adults. Therapy can help you build mindfulness tools to manage your symptoms, process through traumas that may be contributing to these uncomfortable symptoms, and create an understanding of the self and why you are experiencing some of your symptoms.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after such events, or experiences. Now, more than ever, we are understanding the long-term and pervasive effects that trauma can have on a person's well-being. Trauma can stem from a single violent traumatic event, or events that typically don't involve violence or disaster, but do create significant distress. Fortunately, there are evidence-based treatments that relieve present-day symptoms of anxiety and depression through reprocessing of the past. One modality that I am trained in is called Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Other highly effective models that I incorporate are called Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Somatic Experiencing. These therapies are ideal for persons wanting to learn more about how they were impacted by traumatic experiences and are ready to reprocess the events to reduce their effects.
Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home at a time that is convenient for you through our easy HIPAA-compliant scheduling platform. Also, I offer in-person sessions in Wamego, KS.
